She has been awareded a Masters in International Human Rights Law from the University of Essex and was the acting solicitor in the Court of Appeal case of Muuse v Secretary of State for the Home Department  ECA Civ 453. This key case reported in the Times found the unlawful detention of Dutch National Mr Muuse to be an outrageous abuse of exective power.
Harleena is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association and accredited as a senior caseworker and supervisor under the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Scheme.
